Frequently Asked Questions About the AMP

Where is the NPD AMP located?

The NPD AMP is located at 6 Municipal Drive, Fishers, IN 46038.

Where can I park?

Free street, surface lot, and garage parking is available throughout the Nickel Plate District.

Parking maps are subject to change based on the event. Please check your event page for event-specific details, including accessible parking.

Can I bring lawn chairs and blankets?

Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome at most shows, but there are some large events where we do not permit patrons to bring seating due to space limitations or logistics. Please check your specific event page for details and rules.

Can I buy food, drinks, and alcohol on site?

There are food, beverage, and alcohol vendors on site at all concerts. To purchase alcohol, you must visit an ID check/information tent to show proof of age and receive a wristband. If you do not get a wristband before attempting to purchase, the vendor will send you back to and ID check tent, and you will lose your place in line.

REMINDER: Outside food and drinks are only permitted at free, non-ticketed concerts. Security will be at gates checking bags. If you’re attending a ticketed concert, all outside food and drinks of any kind (including water) must be consumed or disposed of prior to entering the venue. Can I bring outside food and drinks?

Outside food and drinks are only permitted at free, non-ticketed concerts. Security will be at gates checking bags. Where are restrooms located?

Public restrooms are located in the Pavilion building at the south end of the venue and include accessible restrooms and changing tables. Restrooms can also be found at the west side (stage right) of the AMP. Portable toilets may also be on site, depending on the size of the crowd or event. In some instances, depending on the size of the crowd or event, the venue may only use portable toilets and will be located in the parking lots immediately east or west of the lawn.

Is the NPD AMP handicap accessible?

Yes, the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater is accessible for all abilities. For most concerts and large events, accessible parking is located in the lot to the east of City Hall. Wheelchair accessible seating can be found at the back of the small, front (northernmost) lawn. A paved area is open for wheelchair seating, and picnic tables will be in the same area.

Can I bring my pets?

While dogs are permitted at some NPD AMP shows, we advise against bringing your furry friends to any live music events due to the stress our sound equipment could cause for your pet. When dogs are permitted, they must be on a leash and must be taken outside the venue for potty breaks. Proper waste cleanup is required.

DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT ANY EVENT THAT REQUIRES A TICKET.

Where can I learn about cancellations due to inclement weather?

All notifications regarding inclement weather and possible cancellations, delayed starts, postponements, etc. will be communicated via the NPD AMP social media channels.

What happens if inclement weather arrives during the show?

If inclement weather should arise during a concert, an announcement will be made from the stage, followed by evacuation of the venue. Weather and cancellation updates will be posted on the NPD AMP Facebook and Instagram pages.

Is smoking allowed?

No – The NPD AMP and surrounding park properties do not permit chewing tobacco, vaping, or smoking.

What if my child gets lost during the event?

If you have lost your child, please find an NPD AMP staff member, security guard, or police office on site, and notify them. Lost children will be taken to a nearby general information or Fishers Parks tent under the supervision of a NPD AMP staff member, security guard, or police officer. If parents are not quickly found, an announcement will be made from the stage in an attempt to reunite the child with their parent(s) or guardian(s).

How early can I arrive to the show?

Door times vary by event. For free, non-ticketed shows, you may arrive to the show up to 2 hours before showtime unless otherwise noted by NPD AMP staff or the website or social media. 

For ticketed concerts, gates/door times will be noted on your ticket or on the event website.

What types of behavior and activities are prohibited?

The following behavior and activities are grounds for eviction from the NPD AMP:

  • Bringing in any prohibited items to the venue, which include, but aren’t limited to: weapons, outside alcohol/food/coolers, smoking or vaping devices, pets and dogs (when prohibited, see event-specific rules)
  • Commercial activities including vending without a permit
  • Distributing literature/produce without prior written consent of facility management
  • Fighting
  • Public drunkenness
  • Smoking, vaping, tobacco usie
  • Soliciting
  • Threatening behavior
  • Throwing objects
  • Use of illegal substances
  • Use of profanity, unacceptable language, or gestures of any type
What should I do if I witness prohibited conduct or have a concern with a participant or attendee?

If you witness any prohibited conduct or activities during one of our events, please notify NPD AMP staff, security, or police officers on site.

What am I not allowed to bring to the amphitheater?

The following items are not permitted at the NPD AMP during concerts:

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Outside alcohol (per Indiana Excise Law – Indiana Code 7.1-5-8-4)
  • Outside food and drinks (prohibited at ticketed/gated concerts only)
  • Coolers (prohibited at ticketed/gated concerts only)
  • Pets (prohibited at ticketed/gated concerts only)
  • Air horns or noise makers of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Laser pens or laser products of any kind
  • Skateboards, scooters, bikes (bike parking located throughout Nickel Plate District, just outside of venue gates)

Flash photography is not permitted at any concert. Poster tubes are permitted at most events, but are subject to security search.

This list of prohibited items is subject to change at any time or at the discretion of venue staff or security.

Is there a lost and found?

The NPD AMP is not be responsible for any personal belongings or items of any type. However, any item turned into staff or security will be placed at lost and found at the Fishers Police Department headquarters at 4 Municipal Drive (just east of the venue).
