About the Artists

Ruthie Foster
Ruthie Foster’s musical journey is as eclectic and vibrant as her soulful voice. With five Grammy nominations to her name, her latest album, Mileage, released on the legendary Sun Records, won Best Contemporary Blues Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards — a triumph not only for Foster, but also a historic first-ever Grammy win for Sun Records. With soulful melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and unwavering commitment to her craft, Foster continues to carve out a path that is uniquely her own — inspiring audiences and fellow musicians alike.

D.K. Harrell
Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter D.K. Harrell is one of the most formidable young stars of the current blues resurgence. He received his first guitar at 12, and by 16 was writing his own songs. In 2022 Harrell won the B.B. King Of The Blues Award for Preserving Traditional Blues Heritage from the Jus’ Blues Music Foundation. His debut album, The Right Man, was released on the Little Village label in 2023. His massive, immediate success led him to win the prestigious Blues Music Award for Best Emerging Artist from The Blues Foundation. Now, with his Alligator Records debut album, Talkin’ Heavy, D.K. Harrell cements his place among the leading voices of the new generation of blues players.

Solomon Hicks
Solomon Hicks (aka King Solomon Hicks) is a28-year-old guitar phenom from New York City who began playing guitar at age 6. He won the 2021 Blues Music Awards for Best Emerging Artist for his 2020 release, Harlem, on Provogue Records. He’s shared stages with Buddy Guy, Samantha Fish, Tony Bennett, Jeff Beck, Ringo Starr, Jimmie Vaughn, Beth Hart, Mavis Staples, Robert Cray, Eric Gales, Norman Nardini, and many others.

Queen Delphine & The Crown Jewels

Queen Delphine & The Crown Jewels’ soulful sound emits the true roots of what blues music has been and has become over the decades. Queen Delphine has appeared in the Smithsonian Magazine, Living Blues magazine, and on WISH-TV and WFYI’s Small Studio Sessions. The band has played Chicago’s historic Kingston Mines, Buddy Guy’s Legends and B.L.U.E.S. at Halstad in Chicago, Alfred’s and The Rum Boogie on Beale Street in Memphis, headlined at Headliner’s, sung at Stevie Ray’s, and is a regular at Blues festivals throughout the south and Midwest.

Danny Garwood
Danny Garwood has been passionately playing guitar since age 10, drawing inspiration from artists like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, John Mayer, Eric Gales, Jeff Healey and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He has had the honor of sharing the stage with Buddy Guy and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram at The Ryman Auditorium during Buddy’s Farewell Tour. He currently has the honor to host the youth blues jam at Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS, in conjunction with the International Blues Challenge. As a two-time Masterclass alum of the Pinetop Perkins Foundation workshops in Clarksdale, Danny has honed his craft under the guidance of blues legends, including Bob Margolin of the Muddy Waters Band.

Gordon Bonham Blues Band
Gordon Bonham brings together a mix of styles from the Mississippi Delta to the back alleys of Chicago, from big Texas shuffles to jumpin’ West Coast swing. After several years of tearing up the road, Bonham brings it all together in Indiana, the Crossroads of America. Bonham has performed several times with the legendary Pinetop Perkins, most notably in Cleveland along with Robert Lockwood, Jr. as part of the grand opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He played off and on for ten years with the late Indianapolis blues mandolin man, “Yank” Rachell, as well as Chicago piano man Jimmy Walker.

Tommy Baldwin
Tommy Baldwin is a multi-instrumentalist Blues-Rock guitar player, singer, and song writer from Indianapolis. In recent years, he’s teamed up with rock-legend Dug Pinnick (from the band King’s X). Pinnick is Baldwin’s bassist on his debut album “Phases,” released in 2019. Baldwin’s resume of collaborations and stage appearances is impressive, performing musicians from artists like Lenny Kravitz, Paul Gilbert, Edgar Winter, Steve Vai, Michael Jackson, Stevie Nicks, and more.

Rebekah Meldrum
Rebekah Meldrum delivers the blues with deliberate precision. Every track on her self-titled debut, is steeped in the love and the passion she has for the genre. From the way the very first notes drop you right into the delta, through excursions that go from back country to steamy, inner-city grooves and all the way through to New Orleans-inspired horns that wind the album down, she is in firm command of every aspect of the songwriting process.
